This is my girlfriend's little brother, Jayden. This was only about two hours after he was born. I zoomed in as close as I could go with out the lens looking up his baby nostrils. I would like to maybe change the color to black and white or something—I just don’t have access to Photoshop this week.

This is my buddy, Scout! He is much bigger now, but this photo was taken right after he passed out from a long walk.

For this picture, I used the solid color option and used the blending mode "Difference" to make the center of the flower teal. I then used a gradient map, and used the blending mode "Overlay" to make the background more interesting.
This is the original photo. My original idea was to color all the pedals different color, but decided it looked too cheesy.
This was taken from the 7-train in Brooklyn. The roof of the subway got in the picture so I used the Clone and Patch tool again to fix it.
"EH Welcome to Brooklyn!" is something stupid my friends and I say. For some reason my buddies in VT find it hilarious to say it after they make a hoop in basketball. I ran out of ideas so I just threw it in there. Anyway, I wanted to do something different with this photo so I used the filter "Glowing Edges." At first I had trouble getting the letters to be big enough, but then realized I just had to re-size the photo to be smaller.

Clone and Patch Assignment.
I already used this photo once, but I really hated the rusty trash can in the bottom right corner so I figured it be a perfect opportunity to use the clone and patch tool.
I used mostly the patch tool for this assignment. It was extremely easy. For some reason after I patched it, the area was noticeably dark so I used the clone tool and made it look normal.

For this photo I used the filter "Water Paper". I like the edited photo better. It added a lot more detail and sharpened the colors. I took this shot several times and played around with F-stops until I could get the background blurred.
For this filter I used the "Lens Flare" which made the photo a lot more interesting I think. I kind of wanted to go for a safari theme since that's what the first photo reminded me of. The lens flare worked well I think. As for filtering it was super easy to learn and understand.

This is the unedited photo. I realize the photo is a little off center, but I still liked the way it came out. It's a cool point of view photo because this lighthouse really isn't that big. It looks pretty tall from here though
I didn't really like the way this came out. It looks slightly cheesy to me and I feel like I've seen this picture somewhere a million times before. I wanted to do something other then make the photo B&W, and this was one of the better edits. I tinted the sky more blue and also messed with the lighthouse a bit. Out of the two photos, the first is my favorite.
I took this photo at Robert Moses Beach a while back for the Rule-Of-Thirds photo assignment but decided not to use it. I took this photo laying on the ground and really enjoyed the way it came out. At first I thought I would like this picture better then then edited photo, but after the editing process I personally like the second one better.
This was the photo after it was edited. I like how the sky and clouds look a lot better then the first, and the overlay made the sand looks a lot cooler.
