I walked through Babylon park and took macro-photos of random objects I found interesting. Some of them, such as the goose, were kind of hard to take. I found the goose sleeping and he woke up as soon as I snapped the photo. As for making the collage, I found it a little frustrating. There were a lot of photos I wanted to use, but it made the collage a little too busy. It was a very fun homework assignment none-the-less.
Very interesting collage. The black and white made it dramatic. I really liked the duck. This collection had a lot of personality. The texture of the leaf and upper flower was lost in translation but the overall effect was interesting. Is the child in the upper corner yours? I loved the sun glasses.Such attitude, adorable.
ReplyDeleteI like the up close picture of the baby. I am always a sucker for pictures of babies. The picture of the baseball is also a very interesting idea. I never thought of that! Which was your favorite shot?
ReplyDeleteAwesome pictures!! I love the black and white and the pictures of wood add a nice touch. My favorite pictures are the baseball, angel and the baby :) totally cute!
ReplyDeleteI really like this one! I never thought to make black and white collages! Because of that, it shows more realistic or their feeling at the moment. I really like dog paws and leaves on the water.
ReplyDeleteI also like the black and white shots! It certainly came out really good. I do the yearbook for my kids school and each grade has a collage page and it is certainly hard when you want to use all the pictures, but sometimes less is more.
ReplyDeleteYeah Steven I had the same problem too many pictures I wanted to use and not enough room on the collage...But great collage, I love that its black and white. Plus there is so much personality in your pictures, the babies face, the dog, the sleeping goose. I really like it nice job!!! Plus the different sizes to the pictures like a scattered puzzle, cool!

Great pictures! I like the theme you chose for you collage. You really captured a lot of aspects of things you would see in a park. The thing that makes your collage really neat is the black & white photos. The black & white makes it much more interesting than if it was in color. Nice work.
ReplyDeleteThe b&w gives it a kind of retro look. You placed the photos well, combining objects (baby and animals and statue and even the sunny flower faces) with straight textures. All of one or the other would have been less interesting, clever choice.
ReplyDeleteThe black and white is really neat but I don't feel like I get as much of an idea on the texture with it that I would with color. I love the picture of the goose. The texture of the feathers is great.
ReplyDeleteI am curious about your thoughts, how would you react to this picture it was in colors? Would you feel different or same? I could see that if it was turned into colors, it would be very colorful because there is a variety of subjects in this collage. But of course, I loved this as black and white! I just am curious about your thoughts on color, why pick black and white in the first place?

ReplyDeleteThe collage I picked actually made it black and white automatically. I figured after arranging the photos there would be an option for changing it, but I couldn't figure it out. I agree though, I would have likes it to have more color.
